The Defendant is a Member State of the ECOWAS and signatory to its Treaty, Protocols and Conventions. The Plaintiff filed this application for the violation of his fundamental human rights through an unwarranted and unlawful seizure and impoundment of his call to bar certificates, withholding his access, possession and use of documents which constitute his license and authority to practice law in Nigeria by agents of the Defendant (Economic and Financial Crimes Control Commission).
