ANNEX 5 CONCERNING TRADE DEVELOPMENT PREAMBLE The High Contracting Parties - Having regard to the provisions of Article 26 of the Trade Protocol; - Recognising that trade development among Member States and between Member States and third countries is an important element of the strategy to achieve economic development and a more equitable international economic order. - Convinced that trade development and promotion measures can provide access to a wider regional and international markets; - Noting that trade development and promotion measures can provide access to a wider regional and international markets; HEREBY AGREE as follows: ARTICLE 1 TRADE DEVELOPMENT 1. Member States shall adopt trade development strategies. 2. Member States shall develop internal capacities for trade development and create awareness on the role and importance of trade and economic development.
