Human Rights Treaties can be sued before it, for alleged I - - violation of human rights occurring in their territory. See, among others, the decision in Peter David v. Ambassador Uwechue, reported in 201 0 CCJELR, where the Court held that only ECOWAS Member States and Community Institutions can be proper parties in disputes for alleged human rights violation.
