53 pertinent to establish, in fairness, the sum of US$1,000.00 (one thousand United States dollars) as compensation; b) A sum of money corresponding to the expenditure incurred by Edmundo Urrutia Castellanos for plane tickets to visit his daughter. In this respect, the Court considers it pertinent to establish, in fairness, the sum of US$1,000.00 (one thousand United States dollars) as compensation; c) A sum of money corresponding to the expenditure incurred by María Pilar García de Urrutia in order to visit her daughter and for telephone calls. In this respect, the Court considers it pertinent to establish, in fairness, the sum of US$1,000.00 (one thousand United States dollars) as compensation; d) A sum of money corresponding to the expenditure incurred by Edmundo Urrutia García for plane tickets. The non-pecuniary damage may include the suffering and affliction caused to the direct victims and to their next of kin and the impairment of values that are very significant for a person, such as changes, of a non-pecuniary nature, in the living conditions of the victim or his next of kin.
