Summary of the Complaint
1. This Complaint is one of the fifty-seven (57) Complaints _submitted by Mr. Peter Odiwuor
Ngoge (hereinafter "the Complainant"
or "1\1r. Ngog~4iil;:iRetween 2012 and 2017 at the
Secretariat of the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (the Secretariat), on
his behalf and on behalf of his client referred to hereunder. Mr. Ngoge is a practicing
advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Messrs. O.P. Ngoge & Associates Law Firm.' The
present matter is one of the outstanding uri-joined Communications
currently pending
before the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (the Commission) at the
Admissibility stage.
2. The Complaint is dated 22nd November 2014 and is made against the Republic of Kenya
(the Respondent State), a State Party to the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights
(the African Charter) which it ratified on 10th February 1992.
3. The Complainant submits the Complaint on his own behalf and on behalf of Ms. Everiyene
Iburata Ekea, whom he represented in Petition No. 12 of 2009 before the High Court of
Kenya (the High Court) and Appeal No. 37 of 2009 before the Court of Appeal of Kenya
(the Court of Appeal).
