Who can use Uwazi? CO L L ECT IO N S 300+ Uwazi collections and growing! At the moment, more than 150 human rights organisations across the globe are using Uwazi as a database tool – some for more than one collection. That brings the total to more than 300 public and private Uwazi databases. Read about our projects > What is Uwazi used for? To date, Uwazi has been used by for the following purposes: • Preserving evidence related to an ongoing situation • Managing complaints or cases for strategic litigation • Compiling libraries of law, jurisprudence, reports or academic works • Investigating a trove of public-interest documents • Building an archive that preserves collective memory • Monitoring and recording progress around policy implementation • Collecting and sharing open-access educational resources • Showcasing digitised art pieces or museum objects • Cataloguing a collection of campaign or advocacy materials Uwazi can be customised for a variety of needs and users.
