7. The Complainants submit that the Victim's family made numerous complaints, sent
a "telegraph" to the Attorney General to investigate the forced disappearance of the
Victim; but however, did not receive any response.
8. The Complainants aver that the Victim was tried before a Special Court which "was
not the competent court." It is further averred that the Victim was sentenced to life
imprisonment on 16 June 2015.
9. The Complainants submit that the Victim was also tortured in Scorpion prison,
"imprisoned in a tiny isolation cell with poor ventilation, containing no bed" and he
therefore had to sleep on the floor." It is further submitted that the Victim was denied
food for several days, deprived of visits, medication, and access to clean water; was
prevented from buying any newspapers or PClpers, prevented from carrying any
money and denied contact with his family or a lawyer.
10. The Complainants submit that the Prison Administration did not provide medical
care for the Victim, even though he was suffering.from several diseases, including:
high blood pressure and cardiovascular disorders: "needs a daily dose to increase
blood thinners to avoid blood clot;" Had roughness [of] knees" and suffered from
severe" allergy-related stress, up in severity to swelling of the face, tongue," and" the
need for quick intervention by injection;"

11. The Complainants aver that under the instructions of the Prison Service, the Victim
was not visited for several months. They further aver that when such visits were
permitted, the victim was only allowed to participate "through the hail glass
soundproofing and [to] talk through the headphone monitor," with the dialogue
betweeiihima1)d his family being recorded+
12. The Complainants submit that the maximum duration of the visit was fifteen (15)
minutes, and no shildr~n w~re allowed to visit unless they had a passport. The
Complainants subfult that because of this policy, the Victim went on a hunger strike
and as a result lostJ5kg in weight.
