loyalty, discretion and good conscience; that I will preserve the
confidentiality of the information to which I have access in the exercise or
due to the exercise of my functions, and that I will faithfully observe all the
provisions of the Protocol and the Rules of Court.”
Rule 21
Functions of the Registrar
1. The Registrar shall assist the Court in the exercise of its judicial function and shall
be in charge of the general administration of the Court’s Registry. He or she shall
be responsible for the supervision and coordination of all the operations and
activities of the Registry.
2. In the discharge of his/her duties, the Registrar shall:
a. Keep, in such form as may be prescribed by the Court, a General List of all
cases, entered and numbered in the order in which the documents instituting
proceedings or requesting an advisory opinion are received at the Registry, and
he/she shall publish such General List on the website of the Court;
b. be the regular channel of communication to and from the Court, and in
particular, effect all
communications, notifications
and
transmission
of
documents required by the Protocol or by these Rules and ensure that
the date of dispatch and receipt thereof are readily verifiable;
c. transmit to the parties, copies of all pleadings and documents annexed thereto,
upon receipt thereof in the Registry;
d. be present, in person or by his/her duly qualified representative, during the
sessions of the Court, and be responsible for the preparation of minutes of such
sessions;
e. sign the minutes referred to in subparagraph (d) above;
f. inspect documentation submitted to the Court to establish authenticity thereof;
g. have custody of the seal, the official stamp and all the records and archives of
the Court;
h. make arrangements for such provision or verification of translations and
interpretations into the Court's official languages as the Court may require;
