At its 35th Ordinary Session held in Banjul, The Gambia from 21 May to 4 June 2004, the African Commission considered the request for deferment from the Respondent State and decided to defer consideration of the Communication on the Admissibility to the 36th Ordinary Session so as to allow the Respondent State 22. AC HP R to forward exhaustive written submissions on Admissibility. By Note Verbale dated 15 June 2004, the Respondent State was notified of the African Commission‟s decision and a copy of the Communication as well as the Complainants‟ submissions on Admissibility were also transmitted to the Respondent State. 23. By letter dated 15 June 2004, the Complainants were also notified of the decision of the African Commission. 24. By Note Verbale of 16 September 2004 the Secretariat of the African Commission reminded the Respondent State to submit all its arguments on Admissibility. 25. At the 36th Ordinary Session held in Dakar, Senegal from 23 November to 7 December 2004, the African Commission heard oral submissions from the Respondent State only and deferred its decision on the matter pending a response from the Complainants on the observations made by the Respondent State regarding the issue of the Complainants‟ locus standi. 26. By Note Verbale dated 13 December 2004, the Respondent state was notified of the decision of the African Commission.
