of the Federation of Nigeria 1990; Articles 9 and 12 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Articles 3, 5, 9 and 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and a most egregious violation of the treaty obligations of the Defendant under and by virtue of its being a signatory to the above legal instruments. iii. A DECLARATION that it is an unlawful violation of the Applicant’s human rights to personal liberty and freedom of movement as guaranteed and protected by Sections 35 and 41 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As amended), Article 6 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, Article 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Articles 3 and 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and a most egregious violation of the treaty obligations of the Defendant under and by virtue of its being a signatory to the above legal instruments, for the Defendant to unlawfully detain the Applicant after he was granted bail by Courts of competent jurisdiction and fulfilled all the bail conditions for his release. 9
