34 District; removed the member judges who were experts in public law from their positions and, in their place, appointed new magistrates and judges, including Percy Escobar as judge of the First Temporary Commercial Public Law Court39; ñ) prior to June 1977, Percy Escobar worked as a court secretary and a criminal judge and had received several disciplinary sanctions in the exercise of his functions40; o) the week prior to July 13, 1997, Channel 2 announced that on that day it would present an investigative report on the unlawful recording of telephone conversations involving candidates of opposition parties, judges and journalists, among others.
