The Complainant however noted that former President Mubarak was released and cleared of any charges. 14. In view of the foregoing, the Complainant submits that under the current regime, exhaustion of domestic remedies is impossible, as the military is ruling the country, and that any judge who shows any independence from the military would be punished by being sacked or removed.
