The Government transmitted two communications dated 6 February and 17 September 2012. In the first communication the Government replied to the general allegation transmitted on 15 May 2009, concerning the alleged involvement of the Government of the Czech Republic in a practice of renditions and secret detention (A/HRC/13/31, paras. 164-166). In the second communication, and following a reminder transmitted by the Working Group due to a technical mistake, the Government replied drawing the attention of the Working Group to the correspondence of 6 February 2012 and including a copy of the said communication. General allegations Reply from the Government 99. On 6 February and 17 September 2012, the Government replied to a general allegation stating that, concerning the issue of rendition, the Czech Republic, after investigation conducted by the Council Europe, is in the position to reaffirm that there were no secret flights or detention facilities within its territory. The Czech Republic assured the Human Rights Council of its compliance with the CAT and the ICCPR and reaffirmed its commitment to respect the prohibition of torture and the promotion of the rule of law. Total cases transmitted, clarified and outstanding 100. The Working Group has never transmitted a case to the Government. Observations 101. The Working Group would like to thank the Government for its reply to the general allegation transmitted on 15 May 2009. 43
