prov1s1on of care to, and support of, HIV/AIDS infected and affected persons and treatment of HIV/AIDS-related conditions; (b) Intensifying training and research initiatives or programmes to strengthen Member States' capacities to manage the epidemic; (c) Developing and strengthening appropriate mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of this Declaration, and other continental and global commitments, and establishing targets and time-frames which will be included in the SADC HIV/AIDS Strategic Framework and Programme of Action (2003 - 2007). 7
