Functions
The Bureau shall have the following functions:
a.
Propose the preliminary draft agenda, and all draft programmes or
business of the Sessions, to the Conference of Committee Bureaux,
taking into account the approved Community programmes;
Authorize meetings,
Committees;
hearings,
fact-finding
and
study
tours
of
Determine with the assistance of the Committee of Selection, the
composition of the Standing Committees. In carrying

assignment, due regard shall be given to linguistic, gender balance
and nationality;
Organize the Committees of Parliament in a manner that reflects the

Subject to the

of the Treaty
the Council, the Bureau shall:

Issue general guidelines and policy
regarding the mandate

management and administration of the affairs and facilities of
the Parliament and its organs;
Determine the external relations of the Parliament;
Reguikte the procedures relating to the internal organization
of the Parliament and its organs;
Be
responsible for prescribing
budgets of Parliament
Regulations
in
guidelines for the
