u) “Protocol” means the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights on the Establishment of an African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights; v) “Registrar” means the Registrar of the Court; w) “Registry” means the Registry of the Court; x) “Respondent” means any party against which an Application has been filed with the Court y) “Rules” mean the present Rules of Court; z) “Session” means the statutory meetings of the Court as provided under Rules 22 and 23 of these Rules; aa) “Sittings” means the meeting of the Court on each day of a particular session; bb) “State Party” means a State Party to the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights on the Establishment of an African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights; cc) “Vice President” means the Vice President of the Court; 6|Page
