African Charter on Human and People’s Rights or any other known International human rights instruments have been violated by the Defendants. FOR THESE REASONS, Adjudicating in a public session after hearing both parties, in first and last resort, the Court in terms of technicalities: - Declares that it has competence to examine violations of human rights alleged by the Plaintiffs against the 1st Defendant (The Republic of Liberia). - Declares that the 3rd, 4th and 5th Defendants are not parties to these proceedings. IN TERMS OF MERITS Adjudges in regards to other aspects of the Application that the 1st and 2nd Defendants have not violated the human rights of the Plaintiffs under any International Human Rights Instrument, in particular, their rights to life, liberty and fair trial and the Plaintiffs’ case is hereby dismissed. AS TO COSTS; 1. The Plaintiff’s and the 1st Defendant should bear their own costs. 2. The Plaintiff should pay to the 2nd Defendant, the Republic of Ghana, the sum of USD 5,000. (Five thousand United States Dollars) as costs. 30
