Decree No 06-053/P-RM of 6 February 2006, in particular Article 47
thereof;
vii. Order the Respondent State to pay each Applicant salary arrears from
July 2008, the date of their appointment, to the date of delivery of the
present judgment, estimated at Ten Million Eight Hundred Thousand
(10,800,000) CFA Francs;
viii. Order the Respondent State to pay each Applicant the sum of One
Hundred Million (100,000,000) CFA Francs as reparation for the
prejudice suffered; and
ix. Order the Respondent State to bear costs.
14. The Applicants further pray the Court to order the Respondent State to pay
each Applicant an amount of One Hundred and Twelve Million Seven
Hundred Thousand (112,700,000) CFA Francs as fair compensation for the
prejudice suffered and loss of income. They pray that the said amount be
distributed as follows:
i.
Twelve Million Seven Hundred Thousand (12,700,000) CFA
Francs as salary arrears from July 2008 to December 2018, being
one Hundred and Twenty-Seven (127) months’ salary per
Applicant, in addition to the payment of the balance of salary,
estimated at 100,000 CFA Francs between the ranks of Police
Superintendent and Inspector;
ii.
Ten Million (10,000,000) CFA Francs in respect of costs;
iii. Five Million (5,000,000) CFA Francs as cost of preparing filings;
iv. Thirty-five Million (35,000,000) CFA Francs per Applicant for the damage
suffered; and
v.
Fifty Million (50,000,000) CFA Francs as reparation for prejudice
suffered and missed career opportunities.
15. The Respondent State prays the Court to:
i.
Declare the Application inadmissible for non-exhaustion of local
remedies and for containing disparaging and insulting language;
ii.
Dismiss the Application on the ground that it is unfounded and further
dismiss the request for reparations; and
