XIII. SUBSIDIARY BODIES
Rule 62:
Establishment of subsidiary bodies
1.
The Committee may, in accordance with the provisions of the Children's
Charter and subject to the provisions of Rule 27 of the present Rules whenever
applicable, set up such subcommittees and other ad hoc working groups as it deems
necessary and define their composition and mandates.
2.
Each working group shall elect its own officers and the present Rules of
Procedure shall apply mutatis mutandis.
XIV. REPORTS OF THE COMMITTEE
Rule 63:
Reports to the Assembly of the Union
The Committee shall submit to the Assembly of the Union through the
Executive Council, every year, its reports on the activities undertaken in the
implementation of the Children's Charter and any other such reports as appropriate.
Rule 64:
Other reports
The Committee, or its subsidiary bodies, may issue for general distribution
other reports on its activities. The Committee may also issue reports for general
distribution in order to highlight specific problems in the field of the rights and welfare
of the child.

Rule 65:
Submission of reports by States parties
1.
Each State
Party shall submit, through the Chairperson of the
Commission, its initial and periodic reports, in conformity with Article 43 of the
Children's Charter.
2.
States Parties concerned shall submit their initial reports within two years of
the entry into force of the Children's Charter for the State Party concerned and
thereafter periodic reports every 3 years as well as complementary reports and
information requested by the Committee during the period between the two reports.
